Super well designed, modern, minimalist property built using beautiful reclaimed teak and local marble. So beautiful and yet not at all commercial. Lush green with huge trees and bougainvilleas that go up to the sky. The biggest and best pool I've swam in during this entire trip. And, the best farm fresh food you can imagine.
The details in the rooms are beautiful and very well done — marble lights, reclaimed old teak, great attention to the details. Everything is very minimalistic — so different from most Rajasthan hotels I've stayed at. The service is efficient and unobtrusive, and they mostly leave you alone, which is exactly what I wanted.
Open the curtains: not a garden view, but the actual farm — fruit trees, open lawn, the pool, and changing desert light. Morning sun moves across the cool stone floor while birds settle in the canopy. No hotel hum, no traffic, no televisions.
Stripping away is harder than adding. Rajasthan's hospitality often leans ornate; we chose restraint so the room recedes and the farm takes centre stage. Less visual clutter leaves space to rest, draw, read, and slow down.
Reclaimed teak, rosewood, babul, Rajasthan marble, cotton, and linen: natural materials with visible grain, real weight, and nothing synthetic. They do not age badly. They age honestly.
The rooms were not delivered at once and finished. Craftsmen have spent decades building, living with, noticing, and refining them. Wood is finished by hand. Stone is polished carefully. The weight of a door, the height of a light, the angle of a mirror — noticed, adjusted, improved. It is how the place stays honest, year after year.
Standard is fine for most. Our longer-staying guests often want the extra space, light, and facilities of the Deluxe or the Suite. Every room includes access to our 80-foot pool.
